Then surely she said "reciting poetry." But seriously, even though I'm a native speaker, I think English is a beautiful language. At least, "beautiful" in the Jackson Pollack sense. :) But for truly pulchritudinous (heh) languages, you have to look at constructed ones. Call it cliche, but I still think the most aesthetically pleasing language out there is Quenya, with some other languages by fellow list members (i.e., Teonaht, whose sounds I fell in love with the first time I looked at them) following close behind.
