Here follows the Gevey Babel text, followed by a translation. A full
interlinear can be found on the Kalieda Resource website, at
http://www.kalieda.org/gevey/babel.html - together with the text in
its native script (as a separate pdf file).

At that time the people of Kalieda spoke one language and used the same words. They found a
plain to settle, in the land of Cantagu, after they arrived from the stars. And they said to one
another: "we shall make bricks from clay, baking the clay in the sun", and they had
brick for stone,
and bitumen for mortar. Then they said: "we shall build ourselves a city called Urtalkas, and a
tower with its spire in the clouds, and we shall make a home for ourselves, otherwise we shall be
scattered across the lands and continents of the planet".

The Creator came and saw the city with its tower, which the people had built. And the Creator
said: "Now I can see that all these people are one people, and they have one language. And this is
just the beginning for them, for they will be able to do all they wish without
restraint. I shall walk
among them, and confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another's words." So
the Creator touched the people, and scattered them from Urtalkas, across the lands and continents
and islands, and they stopped building their city, and abandoned the tower. The people renamed the
tower Babel [confusion] because at that place the Creator confused the people's language, and
scattered them across Kalieda.

The text has been adapted to fit in with the culture and history of
the planet, hence the changing of the location from Shinaar, etc.
Perhaps of interest is that "bab", the root of Babele (the name of the
tower) is "chaos", while "talk" (found in Urtalkas, the city where the
tower was built) means "order".
