Doubly-Articulated Indo-Europeans with Emphasis

Hi,

i don't remember when it was, sometime when i was emailless, but i got
this idea:

a phonetic change from PIE /k<w>/ and /g<w>/ into a doubly articulated
/kp/ and /gb/ in a descendent language. And from there even to a
Semitic-style emphaticized (pharyngealized) /p<A>/ and /b<A>/.

Does that strike anyone as im/plausible?

Not that i'm going to start a PIE-derived conlang anytime soon...
