Bukhstav

I have uploaded Bukhstav, the runic alphabet used natively to write
Khangaþyagon, onto the files section of the Yahoo group for this list.
Some notes
1) Bukhstav is written from left to right.
2) Each vowel has two forms. The downward sloping one is short, while the
upward sloping one is long.
3) Diphthongs are written as a ligature of the long form of the first
element and the short form of the last element.
4) Transliterations are what I generally use orthographically. Most
correspond to CXS, with the following exceptions.
kh = [x]
short a = [&], long a = [a:]
þ = [T]
sh = [S]
r = [4]
ð = [D]
zh = [Z]
ng = [N]
y = [j]
5) The final rune is a gemination marker, which doubles the preceding
consonant. This is known to occur phonemically with m, n, s, z, l and [4],
which becomes [r] when doubled. Gemination is only indicated this way when
it is internal to the morpheme - for example, matebbaniss, [ma:teb.b&n.is:]
"near that guard", parses as mateb-ban-iss "guard-that-near", and is
written with two bs (as the two bs are in separate morphemes and stops do
not geminate phonemeically) and an s followed by a gemination rune.
