And nareal fricatives are made with occlusion in the mouth so that airflow is through the nostrils, with the nostrils constricted and the airflow increased sufficient to generate turbulence (= frication) at the nostrils. (The occlusion in the mouth isn't essential, but it is hard to generate the turbulence at the nostrils without it). --And.
