Note that if I made the tables any wider (by adding a column for labels such as 'velar') then I couldn't send them by email without peoples' mail readers breaking up the lines.

Maybe. I'll look at it. Errata: - Neglected to mention that 'k+' is used for /xk/ - Neglected to lisk 'hl' (/K/) in the list of consonants that cannot end a syllable. Adrian.
