(I am not sure if the latter was an exemplary German ;) )

I think, the German uvular <r> will yield [h], German schwa > [a],
word-finally <n> > [nu], <ng> > [N]. (Yes, I know this isn't the
traditional katakana transcription, but more like what I'd expect for
the colloquial borrowings).

[hh] for the German ach-laut is based on the Japanese pronunciation of
'Mach number' - mahha-something (IIRC).
