My conlang derived much of its inspiration from the Bantu langs, and Finnish. Seven genders, marked with prefixes, each with singular and plural forms, and number and case marked at the end, a la Finnish. This means that a plural noun is generally *double* marked. :-) The only exceptions are those nouns who, for phonological reasons, cause the plural suffix and/or the plural ending on the prefix to be swallowed up. Verbs also heavily lean toward prefixing. A (somewhat obsolete) grammar can be found here: http://members.tripod.com/~Nik_Taylor/Conlang/W.html -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'. Everyone's just a big dork or nerd, you just have to find people who are dorky the same way you are." - overheard ICQ: 18656696 AIM Screen-Name: NikTaylor42
