Well, I can generate sound for a while by setting the vocal chords to "voiced" and holding the velar closure. Eventually the pressure behind the closure gets to be too great to continue voicing, but I would estimate I can hold it for at least 1/2 second. The same with [d=], and [b=] can go on for several seconds until my cheeks fill.
