If pigs had a marketing organization, they could prevent that misnomer, just as the French Champagne people made Calif. and NY producers stop calling their bubbly "Champagne". It is a processed product made to taste (more or less) like "ham". As I said before, you don't want to know how it's made......... ;-) (There was a commercial on TV a few years back that purported to show the process-- humorously, but not too far off the mark, as I understand it.)
