A few cases like that. Altho, I can't think of any syntactic features that owe their origin to that, there are lexical cases. The verb "katina" (to write) was originally "kaltina", but I kept dropping the "l", and I decided to keep that. Also, I kept putting the writer in the absolutive case, instead of the ergative. Eventually, I decided that it would be an intransitive verb, and that what is written would be marked with inessive. -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'.
