CONLANG making conlangers? Was: mysticism and language

Now that's exactly what I can't seem to disprove.  I was thinking, well
maybe outsiders will have heard of the list, will look into it, will
look at Jeff Hennings LangMaker, and say... hey, I'll try doing this.

More and more, it seems, even with the growing numbers of new
listmembers,
the trend seems to be that one doesn't seek the list out unless one is
already doing some kind of conlanging, or has toyed with language
experiment.  Is there anyone out there, new to the list, who got
involved
in conlanging cold, because he or she was impressed with this kind of
invention and wanted to try it?  Perhaps he or she already did some kind
of conculturing?  Or graphic or musical art?
