Well, "quantum cryptography" is an actual concept, and not inherently silly. This idea of "destroying the code that it breaks" sounds like typical mumbo-jumbo misunderstanding/misapplication of the Uncertainty Principle, but there are quantum cryptosystems - that is, cryptosystems based on quantum mechanical properties and/or designed to take advantage of quantum computing, which latter technology poses a very real danger to current cryptosystems which rely on the difficulty of factoring large numbers.
