Well, apart from indeed the slight misuse of tenses (which at first I had
not seen. Only when I read this one I came back to your first mail and saw
what you meant :)) ), your English seemed quite correct to me. But then, as
a Frenchman I'm probably not the best judge in that case :)) .

FWIW, as a native speaker I also failed to notice the hiccups.  Don't be too
harsh on yourself!
