It's just that philosophical IALers hate accidental puns.  Dang it, if you
didn't mean it to sound funny, it shouldn't sound funny.  ^_^  (it occurred
to me as I delved into my Christmas present, "More Anguished English," that
a good chunk of IALing seems to be devoted to eliminating opportunities for
the mistakes illustrated in that sort of book)
