Medieval Latin has its own unmistakable styleS, quite
different from the Roman fonts we are used to, as
well.  Had a look at Carolinian manuscript lately, or
Beneventan, or Spanish Gothic hands?  They are quite
as unintelligible, or can be.  Beneventan looks like
something from Mars.
