the risen conlang...

As I said, the fruit of almost three years hard graft at the paradigm-face was
cruelly obliterated by a vile, evil machine sent by the eotenas to taunt me.
Just think of all those innocent conlangs who were brutally slaughtered by
technology (I'm not bitter. Oh no. Traumatised, but not bitter.) However, I
always make my initial notes on paper, so I'm currently in a process of
reconstruction.

Norreyna, my Norse-based RAL (religious auxiliary language, like Latin and Aelya), is
slowly emerging from the dust. However, I've met a stumbling block. I've done
nouns, adjectives, numerals and personal pronouns. I've even made a handwritten
unical form of the futhark. I'm stuck on verbs though.

Should I stay with the seven strong conjugations and three weak ones or generalise
them all to weak verbs? The vowel gradations are giving me one hell of a
headache. I-mutation I can cope with, but PIE ablaut?! I've decided to loose
the subjunctive and maybe make the mediopassive either reflexive only or fully
passive (I cant decide...). I'm definately eliminating u-mutation in the first
person- it's too much hassle. I want to keep the personal inflections, but I
just don't know what to do with the vowel-gradations in the strong verbs. I
need to make it naturalistic, elegant and (above all) simple.

I've reached the end of my creativity span (conlanger's block?) and would really welcome any help.

Thanks,

Dan
